Today we were inspired to hear about the work Marginalized Community Advocates Network. org and Daami Youth Development Organization Somaliland minorities are doing to advance minority rights in #Somalia. Ibrahim Hassan Mohamed and Mohamud Sooyaan spoke on a virtual panel cohosted by U.S. Mission to Somalia and UK in Somalia in honor of #HumanRightsDay. Each year on December 10, we observe Human Rights Day in recognition of the anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly adopting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Article 19 of the UDHR enshrines freedom of expression for all persons, including marginalized and underserved populations.
